1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass Convertible

This 1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass convertible was acquired by the seller in 2021, and subsequent service included installing a front sway bar, an Edelbrock carburetor, and PerTronix ignition components as well as replacing the black soft top, weather seals, side mirrors, brake master cylinder, tires, and rear axles. The car is powered by a 330ci V8 linked to a replacement TH350 automatic transmission, and it is finished in yellow over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes power steering, assisted drum brakes, and 14″ steel wheels with wire wheel covers along with front bucket seats, an AM radio, and a heater. This Cutlass convertible is now offered with a collection of spare parts, a service manual, the owner’s manual, records, and an Illinois title in the seller’s name. The car left the factory finished in Saffron Yellow (Y), and the power-operated black soft top was installed during current ownership. The antenna mast, side mirrors, parking and reverse light lenses were replaced in 2021, and the weather seals were replaced in 2022. Close-up photos of the paint, trim, and imperfections are provided in the gallery. The 14″ steel wheels wear wire wheel covers and are mounted with Hankook Kinergy ST tires that were installed in July 2021. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and drum brakes. Work completed during current ownership included installing a front sway bar and a dual-circuit brake master cylinder as well as replacing the coil springs, rear axles, seals, and bearings. The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in black vinyl and fitted with lap belts that were installed in 2023. Appointments include front vent windows, patterned-metal dash trim, an AM radio, and a heater. The dashboard is cracked, and the radio emits static when traveling under power lines. The steering wheel sits ahead of a sweeping 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer gears were repaired in 2021, and the steering wheel is cracked. Total mileage is unknown. The 330ci V8 was fitted with an Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel carburetor and PerTronix ignition components in 2023. The battery was replaced in 2021, and an oil change was completed in 2024. An oil leak is noted. The seller tells us the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission was installed under prior ownership. The differential cover gasket and idler arm were replaced in October 2023. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.
