Samsung gets awarded for top-notch home appliance service

A short time after Samsung launched its new Smart Monitor series earlier this week, the company started teasing a new upcoming Odyssey model, and it's a little bonkers. It's called the Odyssey G7 G75F, and Samsung briefly features it in a short teaser video on YouTube. It has an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and a 1000R curvature, which isn't all that unusual for Samsung. What is, however, is its size. The Odyssey G7 G75F has a 40-inch screen, which is a first for Samsung's Odyssey lineup. In the video, Samsung introduces the G75F with the tagline “The Next Phase of Gaming.” Check it out below. Samsung hasn't revealed when this 40-inch Odyssey G7 monitor will go on sale or how much it will cost. However, the video and its description confirm a handful of specifications. WUHD (5,120 x 2,160) resolution. VESA DisplayHDR 600. 180Hz refresh rate. 1ms (gray-to-gray) response time. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. The 40-inch Odyssey G7 will captivate gamers with its panoramic gaming experience, Samsung says. Granted, a 40-inch diagonal for an ultra-wide monitor is unusual, at least for Samsung, but it might be the sweet spot for many gamers. It might be large enough to be immersive but not so large as to be strenuous. Judging by the video, this upcoming model also boasts CoreSync and CoreLighting+, similar to the Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), which is already available for purchase. The only other ultra-wide monitor Samsung has introduced in 2025 so far is the 49-inch Odyssey G9 G91F. It features a wider 32:9 aspect ratio, a DQHD (5,120 x 1,440) resolution, and 144Hz. The G91F went on sale earlier this year for $999, but for a limited time, you can now buy it for a cheaper price in the USA. Hopefully, it will go on sale globally before the end of the summer. Mihai Matei - Senior Editor [email protected] First Samsung device: SGH-A800 Mihai is a blogger and column writer at SamMobile.
