This follows a previous sale where he made more than $340,500 by offloading similar tokens he had received for free. Onchain analysis by Lookonchain indicates that these latest sales have brought Buterin a total of 908.77 ETH, equivalent to approximately $2.24 million. The sales involved tokens like MOODENG, MSTR, EBULL, POPCAT, Milo, FWOG, TCATI, and VITALIK, with MOODENG representing the largest transaction at roughly $976,000. According to data sourced from Etherscan, this latest wave of token transfers on October 12 marks the second-highest daily transfer activity for his wallet, with 185 transactions. The previous peak occurred on October 7, when 344 transfers were made, largely consisting of meme token sales. Buterin’s public Ethereum address, vitalik.eth, often attracts these unsolicited token gifts, which can be part of marketing strategies or acknowledgments of his contributions to the industry. Some projects send tokens to prominent figures like Buterin to create a perception of endorsement. In line with his past actions, Buterin has announced that all proceeds from these recent meme coin sales will be donated to charity.
