Marathon Digital has marked Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration as the 47th U.S. president with a unique blockchain tribute. Using its MARA Pool mining resources, the company inscribed a Bitcoin block (825,642) featuring an AI-generated portrait of Trump, alongside digital copies of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The project cost 1.244 BTC (around $127,000) and highlights blockchain’s potential for preserving historical and cultural milestones. Fred Thiel, CEO of Marathon Digital, described the effort as a statement of American leadership in crypto and a nod to Trump’s pro-Bitcoin stance. Trump’s transformation from a crypto skeptic to a supporter has fueled optimism in the sector, with his presidency expected to bring regulatory clarity and foster industry growth. This initiative not only celebrates Trump’s support for Bitcoin but also showcases blockchain as a powerful tool for innovation and preservation, aligning technology with cultural significance.
